American Robin

black-capped chickadee This large songbird can often be seen running around on lawns in search of worms. They have a rusty orange breast with a gray color along their back and measure about 9-11 inches. The American Robin is commonly found across North America. Robins eat a large amount of worms and other invertebrates. In the winter when worms are scarce, Robins will change their diet to eating mainly berries and other fruits.

Tips For Mounting a Robin Birdhouse

- Mount an american robin platform on the side of a shed or other structure overlooking open spaces and/or foliage.

- Place the platform somewhere from 7 to 15 feet high.
